Wonderful. Loved every part of it.  Gut-wrenching, compassionate, and a definite major tearjerker. That's an understatement. It really moved me. Spielberg did a fine job of inter playing the many layers of War and the confusion in humanity and what war does and what foolish hatreds countries and peoples often have towards one another that causes these kinds of conflicts. The way he used the horse in this, in fact all the horses, was just superb. It's not mushy and maudlin, but gut-wrenching and thought-provoking.

Truly brilliant! This is a must watch. The whole, idea of centring the film on the war atmosphere, but not losing the centre, Joey, the horse, is portrayed most perfectly! The sentimental attachment between the horse and his master is so subtle! The parting, the understanding, the efforts in ploughing the field, the terror of war in the eyes of the soldiers! I'd like to make a special acknowledgement to Tom Hiddleston, who made me believe how the eyes of a soldier speak differently than his gun...Like it's said, no man ever comes home from war.

The bond of these majestic creatures is so amazing that a lot of times we overlook it! In this movie yoiu can see both sides!! Is a combination of loyalty, bond and disregard of this amazing animals!!! But the movie also gives us great view of family values!! I loved it and will recommend it.
