 SELECTIONS FOR PUNE - 30 DEC 20

Today's race card is tricky and one needs to be patient throughout.

Race 1

Caesar :

Considering the run of this season, where he gave a good time (TFR 87.30) should be at the finishing line. Consider the odds for a place bet.

Other two horses who would try to spoil the cart are mainly Navigator and Red Fire.

Race 2

Best left alone.

Race 3.

Quite a few horses who will try to burn down the effort of the other.

SkyFall :

TFR of 77.68. Improved on the tracks. Trevor will force the issue from draw No 13. Pedigree has performed better when compared with the other contenders.

Spring Groove :

Last run, start to finish effort, improved on the tracks, can force the issue.

Seasons Greetings :

Vastly improved on the tracks. Shirke owns Spring Groove too. Pesi will definitely want to see the progress.

Race 4.

Aegon :

Was 4 lengths behind Spring Groove Will show a better performance. (112.00)

El Capitan :

Has had exposure against better horses. Pedigree wise rates higher. Tracking well. Will be in the first two.

Rays of Sun :

Ran with Aegon against Spring Groove. Will want to seek revenge.

Race 5.

Mount Moriah (48.66) and Sunrise Ruby (44.89) ran behind Gaint Star. Trevor will force the issue from draw 7 against Sunrise Ruby who will have to come out clean from draw 1.

Joaquin whose last season run were against better horses had also beaten Leopard Rock can prevail. Each way bet would be safe.

Race 6.

Main race in which none have had an opening this season. Keeping Juliette's persistence and fighting ability till the end it is likely he should make others run. Watch out for the increase in the horse's weight.

Race 7.

Beemer appeals the best while he covered the ground to be third. FlameoftheForest is likely to run him close.

Go slow, there is always another day.
