ANALIZING THE SPRINTERS' CHAMPIONSHIP RACE - MUMBAI - 21 MAR 2021
The Dr S C Jain Sprinters' Championship Grade 2, which was run in Mumbai on 21 Mar 2021 had an unexpected result for the race goers in Mumbai. who were either fancying Kildare or Iron Age.
It was the older horses which prevailed and as per the horse weight shown on the live telecast Corfe Castle was 19 kgs up, that meant it was more than 510 kgs!
Corfe Castle, Cavallo Veloce and Iron Age had previously run in Terms and Graded Races. The only horses which are still going strong is Multifaceded and Salazaar which have run with Cavallo Veloce. I do not have the inputs of the other Centre horses in my RDBMS (Database) since I follow Bangalore and Mumbai/Pune Centres.
What can we Deduce from this :
1. Older horses perform better after reaching the highest rating!
2. Tables can be turned depending upon the form and condition of the horse prior to the race day. Cavallo Veloce had beaten Corfe Castle twice before. The last race being just by half a length.
3.The horses' temperament to run on that particular day is unpredictable and cannot be evaluated.
4. Both these horses have performed as winners in Hyd, Mysore and Madras tracks. So, it does give an indication that for top performed horses, track variaiance holds a lesser importance.
5. The performance of Leopard Rock was noteworthy and its progress has to be observed. How will Narredu plan it's future will be a thought invoking question!
