SELECTIONS FOR MUMBAI RACES – 11 MAR 2021

RACE 1.

SPECULATOR.

Comes back to the race turf after a gap of 3 months. Strikes the negative chord, since Adhiraj normally does not wait for so long. Has given 3 tracks at a gap of a week each in the month of Feb 21 and 1 track during this month. Check the horse weight and the paddock condition. As per handicapping theories one should watch the performance.

FOREVER FREE.

Was ridden by a novice jockey during the last run. Chouhan now rides the mare, should win. (57.50)

LAMBRETTA.

Has come down in rating. Can place.

RACE 2.

A Class 3 race with 5 runners.

FOREVER TOGETHER.

A winner in Class 4 by 6 lengths and ran in the Derby behind Lagarde. The effort was worthwhile and has gone up to a rating of 48.

Tracks have been appealing. Should win. (82.86)

GLORIOSUS.

Has run 4 times in Class 2, coming down steadily in the ratings. Will take some more time.

RACE 3.

A tough fight appears to be on the offing.

SULTAN SULEIMAN.

All three performances have been noteworthy. The win started at the rating of 60 and now is at 80. Will have to make a greater effort for a win (59.25)

REVELATOR.

Ran with SULTAN SULEIMAN in Race No 87. Better placed in handicap. (68.29)

ENID BLYTON.

A winner by a head in Race No 87. Will have to sweat it out. (63.38)

MOUNT MORIAH.

Was covering ground during the previous run. (81.98) Well placed in the feather weight. The Owner is also a part holder of SULTAN SULEIMAN. One must be wary to the game. Although on ground should win. See the odds swing and decide. For me it is a pass over.

RACE 4.

Another race with 6 horses in the fray.

Both GAZINO and MYSTIC BAY have raced on 25/12.

MYSTIC BAY has a TFR of 107.94 and an advantage of 7 kgs. Has given a good Mock Race with 3 track work outs. Should hold till the end.

GAZINO is at a TFR of 98.54. Weight appears to be a hindrance.

RACE 5.

WATCH.

RACE 6.

EXOTIQUE came up well from the seventh position to be third. Did encounter some interference. Is at 80.85, and Kaviraj must get a clean break off. Should win.

BEEJAY (72.46) will again try to be there, looks difficult.

CHANCELLOR with Sandesh can challenge.

RACE 7.

A no whip race wherein the front runners are sure to dominate.

WILD FIRE.

This mare is a front runner but found it difficult to sustain till the end in Class 3. Goes in for the second run in Class 4, has a TFR of 72.20 and with more forceful riding by Kaviraj can make an all-out effort. Has been a lightweight carrier.

SPRING GROVE.

Present performance has been noteworthy. Followed Aegon till the end. (97.39) and now has a weight advantage. Will dominate.

ENDEAVOUR.

Ended sixth behind Costa Rica over 1200M. Is a front runner too. Sits at 95.87. Equally matched with SPRING GROVE. Tracks are indicative. A bet on both would be better, odds permitting, or a place bet.

RACE 8.

GRAND SINATRA.

Effort during the last run behind Lagetha was good. Covered ground. Can do it while being at a TFR of 103.12.

ASPIRATION.

Is from a speedy dam but has not been able to come up to the expectations. Ran over 2000M and was well forward till the turn. Now with 1400M to run in Class 5 can hold on till the end.
